Session 1: God’s LOVE: Speaker: Archbishop Eamon Martin, “God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him may not die, but may have eternal life.” (John 3:16). The manifestation of this LOVE is in the life/death/resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus sends us the Holy Spirit so that we can live in this LOVE: “He it is who will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire.” (Matthew 3:11).
Session 2: Salvation. Speaker: Terasa Lappin, God freed us from darkness and the power of Satan through Jesus Christ. The Spirit comes to us to teach us of the power of this gift of salvation through Christ.
Session 3: The New Life. Speaker: Pat Butterly God gives us new life through the Holy Spirit through the Sacraments of Initiation. Learning to release the power of these Sacraments is a gracious gift of the Holy Spirit.
Session 4: Receiving God’s Gifts. Speaker: Jim Browne, The Lord has taught us in His Scriptures the way to open our hearts fully to receive the Spirit’s gifts. Through repentance and faith, we respond to the work of the Spirit in our lives.
Session 5: Releasing the Spirit. Speaker: Fr Gerry Campbell, This session is set aside for making the commitment to Christ and the prayer for the release of the Holy Spirit already present from the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation in peoples lives.
Session 6: Growth. Deacon John Taaffe & Ciara Durrigan. Through prayer, study, and service one celebrates daily the gift of the Spirit within the Christian community. The Spirit comes to bind us together in the Body of Christ as we deepen our personal relationship with Christ Jesus.
Session 7:Transformation In Christ. Speaker: Mary Brennan, Through the released Spirit’s presence in one’s daily life, one is slowly transformed by a new relationship with the Lord. Daily inspired and enlivened by the Spirit, the Christian dedicates his/her life in service to others by using the Spirit’s gifts to build up the Body of Christ in the world today.
